LARGE FORMAT LENSES & EQUIPMENT

updated: 3/7/10

Cameras:

  • [none at this time]
  • VIEW LENSES: (The following are especially recommended for use and are working. All have mounting flange unless stated otherwise. All have good glass unless stated otherwise. If no shutter type is mentioned, lens is in barrel only. PLEASE SEE the "Services" section for lens service options.

The following lenses are for display or do-it-yourselfers

    shutters only

We are listing some brass [mostly] view lenses usable primarily for display, but many are in fact usable. They are great to fill the hole in that wood camera you put away. All have mounting flange unless stated otherwise, but if used for appearance those without can just be wedged into a tight hole. Ask about physical size if necessary

**NOTE on Busch TELAR LENSES: Most telephotos are known for their shorter infinity focus, but they usually do not have as much coverage as their regular focal length counterparts. Example: The Graflex 250mm tele only covers 2x3 or maybe 3x4, but a 250mm Paragon or Nikkor will cover 8x10 in a pinch.

Busch Telars not only are very sharp, but have close to the same coverage as regular lenses, an unheard-of ability today. Thus, the 13-1/2" [340mm] tele will easily cover 8x10].
